We are not going to go into a big "dooms profit" speech here, there is enough of that in the newspapers every day and I am sure there is not one single reader that do not know or grasp the importance of having a security and safeguarding system in place to protect their families and belongings.

Here is a short review of the Predator X1 security system that you will probably find interesting.

The first thing we did when we received our Predator wireless alarm stock were to deactivate our current system and installed one of these wireless GSM alarm systems at the office. Installation was very easy (especially because there were no wires to connect to the system). It took me about 60 minutes to get the whole system up and running.

As of date we use this alarm system now for more than 9 month and we did not encountered one single problem with it.  Not even one false alarm due to the wireless technology advanced infra red motion detectors we have. I also want to mension that this alarm unit is undergoing allot of handling and using as it also acts as our demo alarm system.

Two remote controls are included with the wireless GSM alarm system to enable or disable the alarm. There is also a panic button on the alarm control itself.

The range of the sensors are amazing. Most of these wireless sensors have a 100m range rating! That is of cause without interference like walls and so forth that weakens signals. I do have a motion sensor in one of my outside buildings that is about 80 meters from the alarm system and it works perfectly. In our tests the range is actually much higher ( about 120m). I would suggest one of our Predator wireless repeater units if the sensor is further than 100 meters away from the alarm unit. The Pradator repeater boost sensor range more than 500 meters!

The GSM functions are working every time - I went and bought a VodaCom pay-as-you-go SIM card for about R10.00. I put R50.00 of talk time on it and up until now did not had to buy more airtime.  The alarm system work with all South African service providers.

With GSM (cellphone) capabilities you can receive a call and/or SMS when the alarm is triggered but you can also phone the alarm and control it from your cellphone. A great feature is that you can "listen in" via your cellphone (or any other phone) to hear what is happening in your house.

All the Predator wireless GSM alarm systems do have a build in speaker and microphone. This makes it possible to use the system just like a normal cellphone.

It of cause  include all the other functions you would expect of a high quality alarm system like zones, stay at home zones and so on. Due to low power consumption of the alarm system it has 6 batteries build into the system for backup when power goes out. When power comes back on it will automatically recharge the batteries.

You can use the keypad, remote control or even your cellphone to arm or disarm the system. Each remote control comes with its own unique "very long" number that increases security of your system greatly.

The most impressive of all to me is the huge range of wireless sensors that works with the wireless alarm system.
